OUR CAPABILITIES
From Product Definition to Market Execution
ADG connects the work required to develop, prepare, deliver and support technology products. We bring technical, commercial and operational capabilities together around the requirements of each brand and customer programme.
One connected operating model
Define
Understand the opportunity. Shape the product, specification and commercial proposition.
Prepare
Evaluate samples, address applicable compliance requirements and apply quality and responsible-sourcing processes.
Deliver
Coordinate manufacturing supply, importation, warehousing and customer fulfilment.
Activate
Support retail presentation, product understanding and visibility of what is happening in the market.
Support
Connect customers with local warranty arrangements, spare parts and the appropriate after-sales process.
01 - Product Development & Strategic Sourcing
Develop the product, not just the purchase order
We work with customers and manufacturing partners to define technology products for their intended market, use and price position.
For development programmes, our scope can include product specification and industrial design, product naming and branding, software images and Windows configuration, BIOS and firmware requirements, accessories, packaging, artwork, manuals and localisation. The responsibilities are defined for each programme and brand.
Stay close to the manufacturing source
Our Asia Sourcing & Product-Development Office supports supplier negotiations, factory relationships, production coordination and supply planning.
We maintain and develop our manufacturing network as the portfolio expands. Regular factory engagement helps us assess new products, discuss lifecycle plans and coordinate key-material requirements before they become delivery issues.
02 - Quality, Compliance & Responsible Sourcing
Quality starts before the order
We require samples before placing product orders, evaluate and test them locally, and retain samples for reference.
Every shipment undergoes a pre-shipment quality-control check. Together, sample evaluation, retained references, local testing and factory-side inspections give us multiple opportunities to assess product quality before and after production.
Responsible sourcing is an ongoing process
Our manufacturing partners are subject to an annual responsible-sourcing audit process using recognised audit programmes. Regular supplier engagement keeps responsible sourcing part of the relationship, rather than a one-off onboarding exercise.
Prepare products for the relevant market
We coordinate applicable testing, technical documentation, local approvals and product-onboarding requirements. This includes ICASA applications and required product and packaging labelling, together with relevant local Letter of Authority processes where required.
Depending on the product and programme, this work can include CB test and certification records and CE-related conformity documentation. These do not replace applicable South African approvals. Requirements are assessed for the specific equipment and intended market.
03 - Supply Chain & Distribution
Connect international supply with local demand
ADG coordinates the movement of goods from manufacturing partners through shipping, customs clearance, applicable duties and VAT, warehousing and customer delivery.
Customer forecasts, sales information, stock positions and inbound shipment plans inform supply and replenishment decisions. Our South African and Asia teams work together to connect production progress with customer requirements.
Scalable logistics access
Our main warehousing operation is based at Equites Jet Park in Gauteng, with access to partner-operated warehousing and distribution facilities in Cape Town, Durban, East London and Gqeberha.
This combines a clear local operating base with partner infrastructure suited to changing customer and stock requirements.
04 - Retail Execution & Product Training
Delivery is not the end of the work
Our retail execution programmes help keep products visible, correctly presented and ready to demonstrate.
Store visits cover ranged-product displays, pricing and promotional checks, demonstration power and operation, and approved display content. Product training helps store teams understand key features, selling points and positioning.
Where store access permits, stockroom checks add visibility of available, slow-moving and non-sellable stock. Faulty and returned units are identified, recorded and escalated for collection or support through the agreed service process.
The scope and frequency of activity are agreed for each retail programme.
05 - Market Intelligence & Operational Visibility
Bring store-level information into business decisions
We gather practical observations on stock availability, pricing, competitor products, promotions and retail execution.
Structured reporting helps our teams identify exceptions, follow up open issues and assess where action is needed. This keeps commercial and product decisions connected to what is happening in stores.
Integrated business systems and practical automation support coordination across sales, inventory, supply and customer activity. The focus is useful visibility and informed decisions, not data for its own sake.
06 - After-Sales & Local Support
Support the product beyond purchase
ADG works with DualZone to provide local warranty service and holds spare parts in South Africa to support repairs.
ONN, Orion and CHUWI laptops supplied through ADG's South African programmes include a 1-year collect, repair and return warranty, serviced by DualZone. DualZone also supports ADG's GIGABYTE warranty coordination; the service applicable to each product depends on its programme and warranty terms.
Our role connects the retailer, the customer and the appropriate service process. Warranty scope, eligibility and coverage are product-specific.
A focused technology portfolio
Computing
Laptops, tablets, desktop PCs and mini PCs.
Displays
Monitors and portable monitors.
Connectivity
Consumer networking products.
Peripherals
PC peripherals and related computing accessories.
We evaluate adjacent consumer IT categories where our product, sourcing and market capabilities can add meaningful value. New opportunities are assessed selectively, not added simply to increase the size of the portfolio.
