A good day together, for a greater purpose
There is something special about coming together outside the everyday demands of business, especially when the occasion gives us a chance to support others.
The Pepkor Lifestyle Charity Golf Day brought customers, partners and fellow suppliers together in that spirit. ADG was proud to be one of the sponsors and to take part in a day that combined good company, a shared love of the game and a purpose reaching well beyond the course.
For us, supporting the day was about standing alongside people who care about making a difference. We value the relationships we build through our business, and we are grateful for opportunities to turn those relationships into something positive for the wider community.
Helping young children get a stronger start
Through its partnership with the DO MORE Foundation, Pepkor Lifestyle supports work focused on the wellbeing and development of young children in South Africa.
The Foundation brings businesses, public-sector partners, non-profit organisations and communities together around children's needs. Its work includes nutrition, early learning, learning through play and support for the caregivers and early childhood development centres that help children grow.
That approach recognises that a child's opportunities are shaped by more than a classroom alone. Safe, nurturing spaces, caring adults and access to the right support all have a part to play. It is work with a long-term purpose, and one we are pleased to stand behind through our participation in the day.
Giving back is part of building better lives
At ADG, we believe business should help people build better lives. That belief belongs in how we work, how we treat others and how we support initiatives beyond our day-to-day commercial activity.
The golf day was a welcome reminder that a business community can come together for more than transactions. It can make room for care, generosity and a shared commitment to doing something worthwhile.
