Strengthening ADG’s distribution network

A connected approach to distribution

Advanced Distribution Group is strengthening the infrastructure behind its growing technology business through a logistics collaboration spanning international freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, transport and distribution.

The relationship brings these services together around a practical goal: to coordinate the movement of products from international supply through to local customer delivery. Our logistics partner will manage logistics and warehousing operations on ADG's behalf, while ADG remains focused on its products, commercial programmes and customer relationships.

Regional reach through partner facilities

The network spans Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha and East London, connecting our customer requirements with partner-operated warehousing and distribution resources.

This model gives ADG access to established logistics capability while supporting the flexibility needed as product programmes develop. The emphasis is on coordination: bringing stock positions, delivery requirements and the movement of goods into one connected operating approach.

“This collaboration gives ADG a powerful edge in meeting the evolving needs of our clients,” said Phillip Thompson, Managing Director at ADG.

Better information behind the movement of products

The collaboration is designed to support shipment visibility, route planning and data-led decisions across the supply chain. Tracking information and coordinated planning help connect international arrivals, warehouse activity and customer requirements, so the physical movement of products is supported by useful operational information.

For customers, our aim is a more dependable and transparent supply process. For suppliers and brand partners, it means a local distribution operation designed to connect their products with South African retail and e-commerce requirements.

Infrastructure that supports growth

As ADG develops its technology portfolio, the work behind the product becomes increasingly important. Freight, customs, storage and delivery need to operate together, rather than as separate stages managed in isolation.

By combining partner infrastructure with our market knowledge and commercial coordination, we are building an operating model that can support our customers as their businesses develop. Agility, accountability and long-term relationships remain central to that approach.
