The ONN laptop programme with ADG
ADG develops and manages the South African ONN laptop programme supplied to Massmart through Game, Makro and Walmart. Our work brings together product selection, specifications, sourcing, commercial planning, importation, inventory, distribution, forecasting and merchandising.
Approved factories in China manufacture the laptops, while Walmart provides the packaging design. Supply began in March 2026. For business partnership and programme enquiries, talk to the ADG team.

The current ADG-supplied range comprises the ONN4P8256 14-inch Pentium Gold notebook and the ONN5R38256 15.6-inch Ryzen 3 notebook. Both include 8GB RAM, a 256GB SSD and Windows 11.
All customer purchases are through Game, Makro or Walmart. ADG does not sell these laptops directly to customers. Check the retailer for current prices, stock and the exact model.

Choose the 15.6-inch model if a larger Full HD IPS display is a priority. Its USB-C connection is for data only; use the supplied power adapter for charging.
Warranty and support for these models
The ONN4P8256 and ONN5R38256 include a 1-year fetch and repair warranty, with local service handled by Dualzone, subject to the applicable warranty terms and eligibility.
This ONN service procedure covers ONN4P8256 and ONN5R38256. It does not cover the ONN Celeron unit. Check the model number on your laptop and your purchase documentation.
- Log the fault: Have your model number, serial number and store reference or till slip number ready.
- Prepare the laptop: Pack it securely in its original box with all original accessories.
- Keep your references: Retain the job number and, where applicable, the courier reference for tracking and follow-up.
- Check the return: Inspect the laptop and accessories before signing the delivery note as received in good order.

For Gauteng collections, Dualzone issues a job number and arranges a driver. Outside Gauteng, keep both the job number and courier reference. Out-of-warranty or warranty-voided repairs are quoted for approval; repairs proceed after proof of payment is received. If the quote is declined, the unit is returned unrepaired.

ONN laptop questions
Can I buy an ONN laptop directly from ADG?
No. Buy through Game, Makro or Walmart. The retailer handles pricing, stock availability and your purchase.
What is the difference between the two models?
ONN4P8256 has a 14-inch HD TN display and an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor. ONN5R38256 has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and an AMD Ryzen 3 3300U processor. Both have 8GB RAM, a 256GB SSD and Windows 11.
Does the Ryzen 3 model charge over USB-C?
No. The USB-C port on ONN5R38256 is for data only. Use the supplied power adapter. ONN4P8256 does not include a USB-C port.
Does this support procedure cover every ONN laptop?
No. The ONN models covered here are ONN4P8256 and ONN5R38256. The ONN Celeron unit is excluded from this procedure. For other ONN products, refer to the retailer and warranty documentation supplied with the product.
